CWA Local 2055 is happy to announce that the following members have been elected to serve in leadership for the Local.  

President: Matthew Brock

Vice-President: Tammy Templeton

Secretary/Treasurer: Sandra Pauley

CWA Local 2055 will be conducting elections for the offices of President, Vice-President, and Secretary-Treasurer as the local transitions to becoming an independent body.  Below you can find descriptions of the duties of each office that will be up for election.  


The Local President shall:

a) be responsible for the conduct of all Local business;

b) preside at Local membership and Local Executive Board meetings;

c) prosecute grievancaes and appeal them to higher levels of the Union when satisfactorily settled; 

Since learning about the unsafe mold conditions that forced the closing of the Anthony Correctional Center at the end of May, CWA District 2-13 staff have been working to ensure the safety of all employees who have worked at the facility. We have been in talks with management to get to the bottom of the events that led to the unsafe conditions, to advocate for appropriate services for health care and benefits, and to ensure all mold conditions are properly and completely remediated.

Having pursued an extremely partisan agenda during the regular legislative session aimed at attacking working West Virginia families, members of the majority Republican “leadership” are now shrugging off the one and only task actually constitutionally required of the Legislature, passage of the state budget.
